Situation
Tattooed pilgrims arrived last month to perform cleansing rituals on blighted fields. They now refuse to leave Millhaven, claiming they are “bound by sacred duty” until their work is done. Locals gossip of intricate tattoos spreading across their skin like living vines. Though the blight recedes, wolves and bears attack anyone near the ritual sites. The pilgrims now speak of “deeper roots” that must be purged. As their sacred boundaries expand, townsfolk grow restless. Elders fear the pilgrims’ bindings mask a more sinister purpose.
